Birds
When I first picked up a camera I was only interested in bird photography! Although my interests have now broadened considerably, photographing birds is still a great passion. Wherever possible I like to capture some aspect of bird behaviour in my images. Here is a small selection of my favourite bird photographs.

Puffin (Fratercula arctica), pair perched on lichen-covered rock, Isle of May, Firth of Forth, Scotland, UK

Great Grey Owl (Strix nebulas) (C), Hampshire, England

Avocet (Recurvirostra avosetta), Texel, Holland

Razorbill (Alca torda), Republic of Ireland

Griffon Vulture (Gyps fulvus) portrait, Rhodope Mountains, Bulgaria

Dalmatian Pelican (Pelecanus crispus) in flight, Lake Kerkini, Greece

Dalmatian Pelican (Pelecanus crispus), Lake Kerkini, Greece

Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus), Hampshire, England

Nutcracker (Nucifraga caryocatactes) fighting in the snow, Bulgaria

Hawfinch (Coccothraustes coccothraustes) fighting in snow, Bulgaria
