Brecon Beacons Landscape Workshop
26th June to 3rd July 2026 (Sold Out)
During this workshop we will be photographing some of the most picturesque landscape scenery in South Wales. At this time of the year the foliage will be fresh and green, making this the ideal time to photograph the Brecon Beacon’s famous waterfalls. Hopefully we will also get changeable weather with impressive clouds and dramatic light. This can also be a great time for atmospheric misty mornings. We will be photographing mountain and moorland, rivers and waterfalls, patterns in the landscape, trees and woodland, spectacular coastline, sandy beaches, lighthouses, castles and much more during this workshop! Along with the Brecon Beacons National Park we may will also be working on the Gower peninsula and the dramatic Glamorgan coast, weather permitting. I will demonstrate many of the techniques that I use for my own landscape photography, along with explaining how to find compositions within the landscape. Image processing techniques will be demonstrated during any periods of particularly poor weather.
We will have seven full days of photography starting with an evening shoot on day one and finishing with a dawn shoot on day seven. The days are long at this time of the year, so we will work at the quietest times when the light is best around sunrise and sunset, with a short break overnight and another break during the middle of the day. This trip involves a little more walking than most of my workshops, nothing too extreme but please bear in mind that this is a very hilly region of the UK!
