Wild Hokkaido in Winter

Join myself and my travel partner Ade Photography to photograph a variety of stunning wildlife subjects in the icy realms of Hokkaido in northern Japan. During this twelve-day tour we hope to photograph the iconic Japanese red-crowned cranes, wintering whopper swans, Ezo red fox, Ezo deer, Ural owl, white-tailed eagle and the stunning Steller's sea eagle.

This will be my second visit to Hokkaido, but Ade has been running annual tours there for a number of years and knows all the locations very well. During my last trip I shot around 40,000 images, with the highest keeper rate of any trip during my 30 year career! This time we plan to charter a boat for the private use of our group to photograph the sea eagles out on the sea ice....as long as the sea ice is within reach!
